Diabetic Eye Complications

Diabetic Eye Complications includes various eye problems that are seen in the patients of Diabetes. These conditions are known as diabetic retinopathy, diabetic macular edema (DME), glaucoma and cataract. Mild vision problems can be caused due to Diabetic retinopathy. It may cause blindness also. This condition can develop in any person suffering from Type1 diabetes or Type2 diabetes. Focal DME, which occurs because of abnormalities in the blood vessels in the eye and the Diffuse DME, which occurs because of widening/swelling retinal capillaries (very thin blood vessels).
